No end to bickering among anti and pro-Sakaja MCAs
A group of Nairobi Members of County Assembly affiliated to the United Democratic Alliance have thrown their weight solidly behind Governor Johnson Sakaja as the sharp differences among the Ward Reps continues to play out in public. And with Mr Sakaja at the heart of this bitter fallout, the group of nine MCAs on Wednesday, while addressing the media, said they will defend the county boss to the end. Led by Kahawa West MCA Dr Clement Kamaru, the Ward Reps rallied behind Sakaja whom they defended against claims of funding Azimio la Umoja - One Kenya Coalition political rallies in Nairobi. “Sakaja is our governor and should not be intimidated by anyone. He has our full support,” Themendu said. The sentiments were echoed by Ruai MCA James Kariuki who said Sakaja should be given space and time to fulfill his promises to the people of Nairobi, adding that those trying to pressure the governor should know that development does not happen in a single day. “People should be kind enough and give Sakaja space to do his work. All he needs is support from both sides,” Mr Kariuki said.
